What offers are there?

The list of offers is available here. Each business has outlined the specific details of their offer – including who is eligible for it and length of availability.

Who is classed as a key worker?

We are using the same definition as the government’s list of the key workers who were eligible for education places during the spring term:

How do I prove I’m a key worker?

For the offers which are available for all key workers, you will need either your work photo ID (such as a lanyard) or a letter from your employer (such as your key worker letter for childcare or car parking). Please check the details on the offers page as each business has outlined the ID they will accept. 

What happens if I'm a key worker without a letter for childcare or car parking?

Your job role will be defined as a key worker by the government.  If you don’t have a letter from your employer for childcare or car parking, please ask them to prepare a short letter confirming your name/address and that you work for them – it doesn’t need to be long as is only to confirm you work for them in the absence of any other ID.

How do I get my offer?

The offers vary but most need to be pre-booked – check the list of offers for details – letting them know you are a key worker when you book.

Can all my key worker friends have the same offer at the same time?

The offers vary but tend to be per key worker – check our website for details.

Can my family also get the offers?

The offers vary and each business has outlined who is able to access the offer. Please check the offers page for details. 

How long are the offers available for?

Our Key Worker Celebration runs for the first week in August (1st-8th) – however each business outlines on the offers page which days they are open and when the offer is available. Please check here before booking/planning your visit. 

Can my business be involved and give a key worker offer?

We're encouraging all businesses who can to get involved and support our key workers. Please contact membership@visityork.org with the details of your offer if you would like this to be added to the offers page.
