In a fantastic location, within the shadow of York Minster, the Judges Lodgings is the only Grade 1 listed Georgian Town House hotel within the centre of York and features stylish rooms, popular cellar bar, hearty food and two sun terraces.
Following a recent refurbishment, The Judge’s Lodging has a refreshing and reimagined look. The rooms are each individually designed and rich in detail and style. Comfortable and bespoke all are cosy, classy and characterful. Some have spa baths, and all have en-suite bathrooms. Many afford fabulous views of York Minster. Our listed Georgian restaurant is perfect for wining and dining. With an updated classic look, it’s a sophisticated place to eat. A delicious menu expertly put together with a new seasonal selection and afternoon tea offering it’s the place to dine. Our atmospheric Cellar Bar with original vaulted ceilings is the perfect place to escape and hunker down for brunch, lunch or a relaxing drink of award-winning cask ale. You’ll also have spacious sun terraces to drink and chill out on.

By Car If you've travelled by car, you're welcome to drop off luggage and guests at the door, but then you'll need to park in one the nearby public car parks. Marygate Car Park Frederic Street - open-air car park - evening parking is £2 from 6pm to 8am - it's a lovely stroll back through the Museum Gardens, but the gates do close at 6pm, so after this time take the route by the riverside Tanner Row NCP car park George Hudson Street - covered and secured parking - 12 to 24 hours £17.00 If you'd like a map to keep you on track, just ask at the desk in reception. By Rail York is on the east coast mainline with fast and frequent services to and from London and other major cities. There are taxis outside the station, or if you're travelling light, it's about a 10 minute walk. Parking Permit We offer a parking permit which allows you to park a full day up until 10am in the local Marygate car park. It is a short 4 minute walk through the Museum gardens to Judges Lodgings. The permit is for one day/night only and it is charges at £10.00 per permit, if you are staying more than one night a permit for each day is required. Alternative parking is available at NCP Tanner Row (multi-storey) and tickets can be purchased at the car park ranging from £17 for 24 hours.
Any direct bookings with ourselves can purchase vouchers from the Inn at £5 per day for Marygate carpark.
