The location of the Bar Convent is second to none; just around the corner from York Railway Station and a stones throw away from the City Walls and all of York's restaurants, shops and attractions.

Within the building, you can also enjoy a visit to our café, serving some of the best scones and cakes in York, our beautiful private garden and state-of-the-art conferencing facilities. Guests are invited to discover the history of this fascinating building in our Hidden Chapel, one of the best examples in Europe, and also recieve a discount to our fascinating exhibition which tells the three-hundred-year story of the site. Check-in time is from 3pm, except by special arrangement, and luggage can be stored for you at no cost. A disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are also available.
