Suite 5, Fossgate

About us

Superbly located on Fossgate, famous foodie street and home to a host of eclectic small shops, Suite 5 is within a minute's walking distance of all that makes York one of the UK's leading tourist destinations.
By staying in Suite 5, on the first floor of this Grade 2 listed building, you'll be experiencing and sharing in 100s of year's history while enjoying all the luxury and conveniences and comforts of the present.
Awarded with Four Star Gold by Quality in Tourism, Suite 5, once the old ballroom when the building was a hotel in the 1800s has beautiful high ceilings, exposed original wood floors and huge floor to ceiling windows. But, in keeping with the City of York, don't expect too many straight lines or even floors when you choose to stay in Fossgate!
The elegant bedrooms have zip-linked Super King and King sized beds which can be split to give single bed options. High quality linens, towels, and robes are provided to add to the comfort of our guests.
The kitchen is well equipped with excellent kitchenware and bone china crockery, though we think you will find the plethora of superb eateries nearby too much of a temptation or suggest you just let Mr. Marks & Mr. Spencer's chefs tempt you from the store just two minutes away!
You will find a welcome tray on your arrival, fresh milk in the fridge and we would be happy, if possible, to fill any other special requests or shopping lists.
The bathroom, with a selection of guest toiletries, has just been refitted with a generous shower cubicle and a marble topped vanity unit.
There is Freeview, WiFi, a selection of books, games and DVDs for your enjoyment.
We offer free parking either on site within the courtyard or at a location nearby.

You will be met on arrival by our housekeeper and representative, Jayne who will immediately put you at ease and introduce you to your apartment and share her extensive knowledge of York and how best to explore and enjoy it. It is hard to resist her infectious laughter, disarming charm and wit and she will make sure that your stay meets all your expectations.
We would proudly welcome you to Suite 5 and hope you have a Suite Stay!
