With free Wi-Fi, free parking and home-cooked breakfasts, St George's Hotel is located in a stylish Victorian building in a beautiful, quiet cul-de-sac, opposite York's famous Racecourse. The city walls and Micklegate Bar, the royal entrance to the city, are a 10-minute walk away. This is also where you'll find some of the best pubs and restaurants.
We love to furnish our small hotel with antique furniture, original works of art by local artists and interesting artefacts. All our ensuite rooms have comfortable beds, are of a good size and are tastefully decorated. Our Deluxe rooms are ideal for longer stays as they are very large and comfortable and have plenty of extra seating and a day bed in the room to make your stay extra relaxing.
We serve a full English breakfast every morning in our dining room. We cook your delicious breakfast to order and use only the best free-range outdoor-reared produce from local suppliers. Whilst you wait, you can enjoy a wide selection of cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruits, and we serve to your table a pot of freshly ground single origin coffee or a pot of Yorkshire tea with some hot toast, best butter, lovely jams and tangy marmalades.
