Middletons Hotel

About

Nestled in secluded courtyard gardens and within the City walls, Middletons Hotel offers 56 cosy guest rooms spread over six historic, grade II listed buildings. Facilities on site include car parking, a gym, all-day dining, super fast wi-fi and a range of meeting and event suites. A hidden gem, tucked away yet easily accessible, this oasis of calm is just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping area and local attractions, making it the ideal base for exploring York, and enjoying a peaceful break!

Food and drinks are served throughout the day, with a menu offering light bites and sandwiches, through to afternoon tea and supper, all based on freshest quality produce expertly prepared by our team of Chefs. Our drinks selection is pretty impressive too, with hand-pulled cask ale brewed by our parent company Thwaites, and a great selection of wines and cocktails too.
Our meeting and event suites are full of character, including the old Organ Factory, originally the workshop of York’s master organ builder Walter Hopkins, who retired in 1921 but many of his masterpieces are still in use in York and beyond.
All guests at Middletons receive complimentary access to our onsite fitness centre along with complimentary WiFi in all areas of the hotel. Secure onsite car parking is also available at a charge of £10.00 per car, per night.

We don’t have any lifts in the hotel, but ground floor rooms are available. Please ensure you do make us aware of any special requirements when you book to ensure you are allocated the most suitable room for your needs.

Restrictions on use of leisure facilities for under 18's. Speak to a member of our reception team for more information.
Secure on site parking is available for £10 per night per car and is on a first come, first served basis.

York is easily accessible from the A64, A1, M1 & M62.
On reaching the York Outer Ring road - the A64 and the A1237, take the shortest route to the York West (A1036) junction. This is Tadcaster Road.

Proceed along this road, bearing left into Price's Lane, and left again into Bishopgate Street. This is part of the Inner-Ring road.
Before the river bridge, just as the city wall ends, turn LEFT into Skeldergate, and immediately Left again into Cromwell Road. The vehicle entrance to the hotel is 100 metres on the right, at the brow of the hill.
