The Original and Authentic Woodland Camp
Since it launched in 2008 Jollydays has inspired a host of imitators, but none can capture the magic of this original woodland camp. Superbly located deep in the woods, yet just 15 minutes from the outskirts of York - it's the ideal location for a glamping holiday or short break.
The camp nestles in 200 acres of pretty forest and the 11 safrai tents and 4 woodcutter huts are well spaced and very private, their verandas all have woodland views. The safrai style lodge tents each have their own shower, loo and kitchen (inside the tent!) as well as a log burner and accomodation for 6. Our Woodland tents even have their own fridge! All accomodation has a private veranda, with BBQ and picnic bench.
Woodcutter huts are much bigger than shepherds huts and cosier than the large tents, these sleep 2 - 4 people and use our communal facilities - all bedding is provided and beds are made up for your arrival.
There is a pizza oven and communal tea tent, as well as a canopied campfire to enjoy those precious starry nights! This is a haven for kids and adults alike - a chance to reconnect with nature and the simpler things in life. Feel free to bring your own towels, but we can provide them at £2 each.
New for spring 2019 is a woodland fairy sanctuary and trail - this delightful attraction will have a small fairy museum and a fabulous woodland kitchen, serving delicious local food. This attraction will be open to Jollydays guests to visit for free if you are staying two nights or more.
