Dating back to 1080, and nestled in the heart of the exclusive Minster Quarter, Grays Court is the original hidden gem. Having recently achieved Hotel of the Year 2018 at the York Tourism Awards, the house has been lovingly restored by the Heraty family following their purchase of the building in 2005, and now boasts a fantastic restaurant, garden and eleven en-suite hotel rooms. To book direct, click HERE.
Our eleven hotel rooms are luxuriously appointed with a combination of antiques and contemporary, and have fabulous views over York Minster, our own stunning garden and the City Walls, our cobbled courtyard or the Minster property gardens. Click here to view our beautiful bedrooms.
Our restaurant is open for lunch and afernoon tea from 12pm to 5pm and our 2 AA Rosette accredited restaurant The Bow Room is open for dinner 6pm-9pm daily. In the summer our gardens are a delightful place to while away an afternoon with a glass or two of good wine, whilst the squashy sofas and wood-burning fire are ideal for cold winter nights.
