The Farthings York is the perfect place to unwind and experience that famous Yorkshire hospitality. This four star award winning guest house is situated near the famous city walls, in a quiet cul de sac only 10 minutes walk to the city centre, train station and racecourse. It is perfectly situated for you to enjoy a relaxing stay in one of Europe's most beautiful and historic cities, whilst also being an ideal base to explore the North York moors and heritage coastline.

The Farthings prides itself on a Delicious Yorkshire breakfast including locally sourced produce and is a member of the Deliciously Yorkshire breakfast scheme. Sample our extensive buffet menu which includes fresh fruit salad, croissants, muesli, yoghurts and porridge, followed by a full English breakfast or try a lighter option such as kippers or pancakes. We also offer continental and vegetarian options and can cater for any special dietary needs.

The nine bedrooms are individually decorated and offer high standards of comfort and cleanliness, with excellent quality beds, assuring you of a good nights sleep. Five of the rooms are en suite, with 2 being on the ground floor, whilst the remaning four have vanity basins in the rooms and share two bathrooms. All rooms are fully equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, tv's, radio alarm clocks, bath robes and complimentary toiletries. WiFi access is also available to guests free of charge.

Parking is provided free of charge outside the guest house, with the provision of a permit for the duration of the stay. Alternatively if guests prefer to arrive by train, we are within easy walking distance of the train station and the city centre.

Please note that if the room is cancelled the deposit is only refundable if we are able to re-let the room. If cancelled within 48 hours of the day booked we reserve the right to ask for the balance of the account to be paid in full.
