About

Derwent Cottage is a stunning period cottage set in the quiet village of Newton-upon-Derwent and is only 15 minutes or so from York & the Yorkshire Wolds. The cottage has been renovated throughout and offers the very best in luxury holiday accommodation.

Character features include reclaimed tiled floors, multi-fuel burners, highly detailed cast iron radiators, wooden beams and vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is bespoke and hand crafted with a working Aga and granite worktops.

With feature antique beds in every room and a deep, free-standing bath not to mention a large wet room on the ground floor, every room provides the very best level of comfort for visitors.

The garden room leads out onto the terrace and outside dining area, offering lovely views across the pretty cottage garden, making an ideal place to relax after a long day enjoying the many attractions York & the surrounding areas have to offer.

Road Directions

From the A64 take the A1079 signed York and Hull. On the slip road stay in the right hand lane and take the fourth exit onto the A1079 signed to Hull. On leaving the roundabout keep to the left hand lane. After approximately 11 miles turn right signed towards Sutton-upon-Derwent/Newton-upon-Derwent. On approaching Newton-upon-Derwent, turn right onto Jackson Lane and then taking the first right onto Mask Lane. Derwent Cottage is on the left hand side.
