Road Directions

By Road:

From the north take the A19 from Thirsk and follow the signs for York city centre. Continue through several sets of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings and under St. Peter's school footbridge. Continue through the next pedestrian crossing (approximately 25 yards), then turn left immediately after the Churchill hotel into Grosvenor Terrace. Bowman's Guest House can be found half way down.

From the south take the outer ring road (A1237) following the signs from the A19 to Thirsk. At the roundabout with the A19, turn towards York city centre and continue as above.

On Foot:
Turn left out of the station towards York Minster, crossing the River Ouse over Lendal Bridge. Turn left into Museum Street, walk past the Theatre Royal and at the A19 junction with Bootham, turn left. Continue for approximately 400 yards and Grosvenor Terrace is on your right (immediately after the red telephone box). The walk from the station takes approximately 10-15 minutes. A taxi would cost around £3.00.
