York Gin

The York Gin shop

You’ll find the York Gin shop in one of the city’s most iconic buildings - the 16th Century Sir Thomas Herbert’s House on Pavement, just over the road from Shambles. We’re open seven days a week.

Along with our award-winning gins (the only gins made in York) and gift packs, you’ll find beautiful York Gin branded kitchenware and gifts - many of these are also made in York.

We also sell a selection of other top Yorkshire gins.

An area of the shop lets customers see, smell and touch York Gin’s botanicals. And you can taste any of our gins for free. Children get lemonade and dogs get Yorkshire water and lots of attention.

Displays around the shop provide a history of the property (owned by York Conservation Trust) and the story of the York Gin Company.

Our gins

All the York Gin Company’s spirits are hand-made in the city. They are only gins made in the city of York.

We use traditional methods to make all our award-winning gins in our beautiful copper still named Ebor, after the Roman name for York, Eboracum.
