About us

Located just a 30 second walk from York Minster we have 1000s of quality antiques and collectables in stock daily. Whether you are a collector, dealer or individual looking for something special we have items to suit all tastes and budgets. Because we sell on behalf of over 100 dealers that are based nationwide the Centre has the size and variety of items you would expect to find in a quality antiques and collectors fair.

The Antiques Centre York is a family friendly shopping experience! Where else can you go and buy toys for the kids, vintage clothing and silver jewellery for the teens, jewellery for mum, militaria for Dad,  pocket watch for grandad, pottery for grandma all under one roof? And you can enjoy a snack or a meal in our lovely tea room too.

Road Directions

As we are located in the heart of the city, we recommend that you use one of the five Park & Ride services. If you prefer you can park in one of the city centre car parks.

Public Transport Directions

On Foot: Walk into the city centre and look upwards to the cities largest famous landmark, York Minster. We are located on Stonegate, just a 30 second walk from the Minster. Stonegate is part of a pedestrianised zone from 10.30am, allowing shoppers and tourists to wander freely through the historic medieval street.

By Train: Did you know York is only 2 hours from London and  two and a half hours to Edinburgh by train? Ideal for a day trip, and longer city breaks.York train station is a 10 minute walk away from the Centre.
