Organised by Make It York, this annual Festival is our way of saying a HUGE ‘thank you’ for the warm welcome you give to York’s 8.4 million visitors.

York Residents' Festival is our way of saying a huge thank you for the warm welcome that you give to the 8 million visitors to the city each year. Please could you spare a few minutes to help us with future plans, by completing a short questionnaire.

How do I take part?

  • York Residents’ Festival is open to all York Residents who have a valid YorkCard – you’ll need one card per person to gain free admission to attractions and benefit from the special offers included in this brochure.
  • Pre-booking is required for some attractions, tours and events.
  • Some venues have limited free tickets and operate on a first come first serve basis.
  • Students studying in the city can also take part with a valid York student ID card.

Attractions, Tours and Churches

Goddards

Wander in this 5-acre National Trust garden, on the edge of York racecourse. Explore the terrace with cheery daffodils and see who is visiting the wildlife pond. The house is used as a regional office and is closed to visitors.
