Treat yourselves to a lavish glamping break with a twist in one of our unique, sustainable properties.
It’s a case of the industrial sublimely meeting country chic, with these stunning converted shipping containers. Situated on a working farm close to the market town of Malton, known as the ‘Food Capital’ of Yorkshire. The Rabbit BOX, The Duck BOX and The Pig BOX comfortably suit couples, but small families can be accommodated with the additional double sofa bed. Quality time together is the order of the day here. Whatever your interests, the central location will be sure to suit. Outdoor activities, heritage, seaside or exploring more urban landscapes. The choice is yours. And by night? Play one of the provided board games and add some nostalgia to your stay. Or if you prefer your entertainment to be more visual? Hook your device up to the high-speed Wi-Fi and stream to your heart’s content with the projector available in each cabin.
Surprisingly spacious, with an incredibly well thought out layout. Floor to ceiling windows pull the outside in, filling the space with light and the feel of fresh country air. Sumptuously decorated with high end finishes more reminiscent of a boutique hotel than a shipping container! Scattered personal touches create a homely ambiance allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity on offer. An open plan living, and kitchen area form the heart of this mini home. Incorporating a comfy sofa, which handily transforms into a cosy double bed. A stylish kitchen area, consisting of a fridge/freezer, two ring induction hob, sink, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso coffee machine. And there’s no rushing to the loo in the cold and dark here with your very own shower room - and it’s gorgeous! And as the day ends, snuggle down into the super comfy double bed for a peaceful night of sleep.
Weather not playing ball? You can enjoy the outside views from the comfort of indoors, thanks to those expansive windows. But if you’re blessed with the best Britain has to offer, head out onto your own raised deck. Furnished with outdoor dining furniture, relax with your favourite beverage and immerse yourselves in the views. Fields opening out as far as the eye can see. And by night marvel at those unspoiled stars. This rural getaway offers the opportunity to escape the humdrum and simply be together.
A fantastic central location opens up a world of possibilities in terms of things to do in York and beyond. There are plenty of walks in the local Yorkshire countryside. And keen cyclists will be keen to tackle the twenty-eight mile River Rye Cycle Route. Nearby Malton is heaven for foodies, with Talbot Yard Food Court and the monthly Food Market. Take on cookery courses at The Cook’s Place. And for gin enthusiasts, the new Rare Bird Distillery offers a ‘Gin School’ experience. Including the opportunity to taste their Mediterranean inspired gin selection. For a more traditional British getaway, enjoy the lure of Scarborough or Whitby and the east coast beaches. Fish and chips in the fresh sea air after a day of building sandcastles cannot be beaten. If the weather is dicey, The Sealife Centre is always a big draw. And by evening, check out the Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Or for something a little more exhilarating, head out to nearby Flamingo Land. While lovers of stately homes and gardens, will view Castle Howard as a real treat.
