There are so many ways we can track, and consequently better understand, our city's tourism industry. One of these ways is T-Stats, an easy-to-use platform that brings all our tourism stats together so we can track exactly what is happening within York. From accommodation occupancy to footfall to parking and public transport numbers, T-Stats can help us to understand what is happening within the city and help us continue to support our tourism industry.

This data comes from a variety of sources - currently, the bulk of our information comes from trackers measuring big businesses such as Airbnb, however we know that our city is so much more than this! We need to hear from you, our local businesses, to fully understand the impact of tourism in our beautiful city. This will then allow us to better measure the visitor economy and ensure we are investing our marketing money in the right places at the right time.

We're offering a training session on 20th of June which will talk you through how to log into the T-Stats system, access existing information on local/national tourism indicators, and how to setup new trackers to personalize your search. You'll also be able to compare your performance against similar businesses, whilst in the comfort that any information collected is entirely confidential.
