YorkMix broadcasts across York & North Yorkshire and publishes the online news platform YorkMix.com - as a digital business we're no dinosaur but we do like to make a noise, just like our Cash-o-saurus sculpture! Our frozen dinosaur sculpture has coins inside its body. We'll be inviting people to guess how much cash has been frozen inside the Cash-o-saurus with one lucky person winning £1000.

Atey Ate Miles Per Hour | Provided by Ate O’Clock
Our businesses are Ate O'Clock Restaurant & Social 8 Lounge. Our chosen sculpture this year is "The Delorean" car from the "Back to the Future" films. The reason for the design is we always try to theme around the number 8 due to the business's names (for eg our clocks are all set to 8:00 in the restaurant) and as the ice trail theme is "a journey through time" it seemed the perfect match.

York Gin is a small independent distiller of some of the world’s finest gins. It is York's only distillery. The company began as an idea cooked up in one of York’s finest independent pubs, The Swan. A group of friends (and the landlord) decided it was time for the city to have its own gin company.

We may have only sailed the Ouse for a number of years, but we are excited to show what came before, who knows, it may still lurk in the depths of the Ouse! Luckily, our River Prince never actually had an encounter with the beast as shown in our sculpture… or did it? Come aboard and see for yourself.

We are home to some of the greatest archaeological and geological finds in Britain! Our latest exhibition is about the incredible discovery of the Ryedale Hoard which was uncovered in North Yorkshire. The finds contain some of Yorkshire’s most important Roman objects, including an 1,800 year old bronze bust of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Who buried the hoard remains a mystery!
