About us

Originally built as a ‘Palace of Business’ in 1906 as the North Eastern Railway Headquarters, this iconic Edwardian building is now home to The Grand Hotel & Spa.

With much of the remaining architecture and original features remaining, The Grand Hotel & Spa continues to commit itself to offering five-star service to corporate customers.  The magnificent Grand Boardroom and adjoining Chairman’s Suite offers historic settings for your meetings or event with fantastic views of the York Minster and city walls. A further series of immaculate meeting rooms provide a range of options for more intimate gatherings and break out spaces, each featuring plasma screens, free wi-fi, air conditioning and tea and coffee facilities.

A range of dining options are available, including lunch in The Rise Restaurant or 3 AA Rosette Hudsons by Craig Atchinson, as well as private dining.
