York Archaeology Attractions is a collection of York's most popular and unique attractions. Starting in 1984 with the opening of the world-famous JORVIK Viking Centre, which takes visitors back in time to the 10th century Viking city, the group has now grown to include 4 attractions:

DIG: An Archaeological Adventure, a hands-on, interactive archaeology experience aimed at children and families.
Barley Hall, a restored medieval townhouse tucked away in the center of York. Once home to the Pryers of Nostell and the 15th century Lord Mayor of York, William Snawsell, visitors are invited to make themselves at home by sitting on the furniture and handling the objects.
City Walls Experience at Micklegate Bar: You will explore the history of York’s city walls and Micklegate Bar – an important gateway to the city. We also offer a walking tour around part of the city walls between Micklegate Bar and Baile Hill that leaves from Micklegate Bar, which requires a separate ticket. If you already have a ticket for the City Walls Experience at Micklegate Bar or a Pastport, you can select the upgrade option.
