WOLDIES CHILDREN’S GARDEN, A DEDICATED SPACE FOR FUN, EXPLORING, PLAY AND LEARNING ABOUT NATURE, OPENS FROM 28TH MARCH FOR THE 2026 SEASON

Families looking for a dose of Spring should put award-winning Woldies at the top of their family days out list. Tucked well away from the crowds, Woldies in Wintringham, near Malton, is waiting to be conquered by curious children. Offering a tranquil alternative to popular tourist attractions, the family-run business offers magical experiences for children to engage with nature of all kinds through gardens, trails and outdoor play.

EASTER FUN FOR EVERYONE

Woldies Giant Animal Easter Egg Hunt, inspired by local wildlife, is great for primary-aged children and encourages kids to really observe the natural world around them. Kids can follow the trail then crack the code to enter a life-sized bird’s nest. Everyone who uncovers the secret code will be rewarded with an Easter treat.

Under 5’s can take part in the toddler-friendly Mini Bunny Hunt. There are 10 bunnies to spot on the short nature trail, to encourage early learning through counting and colour recognition.

As well as soaking up the Spring sun and having some Easter fun, children will love getting up close to a whole host of pretty spring flowers on the daffodil and spring blooms walk, which makes an idyllic backdrop for photos.

Families can get to know more about trees, bees, birds, mini beasts and woodland habitats through a wide range of child-led activities and games designed to spark curiosity about nature. Plus, there is plenty of space for kids to run wild.

Whether it’s figuring out how to build a den in the quiet woodland area, taking on the challenge of the Dino-themed maze, climbing on huge boulders and along the timber trail, or playing with natural materials like sand and water in the amazing outdoor kitchen space – Woldies is the perfect place to build memories and experiences to last. Plus, unique spins on sports games, like Foot Golf and Foot Pool, will thrill kids and adults alike.
