About us

Dive into an amazing underwater world! Come face-to-face with incredible bonnethead and blacktip reef sharks at Shark Encounter, circling amongst the shipwrecks in the Ocean Tunnel.

Walk with penguins waddling by your feet in our walk through Penguin Island! Our colony consists of 20 adorable Humboldt Penguins, come and meet them all.

Get closer than ever before to over 1,000 creatures, including our rescued loggerhead turtle Antiopi, our pair of playful Asian short clawed otters and an incredible display of enchanting jellyfish.

Find out how it feels to touch a starfish or hold a crab and other living creatures in our Interactive Rockpool Experience.

By road: Follow directional signage into Scarborough and follow signs for “North Bay Attractions” or SEA LIFE Centre. By train: Leave the train at Scarborough Station. Bus and taxi ranks are available at the station. By bus: Service 9 and 9A terminates at Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary. The nearest railway station is Scarborough Train Station, which is 2.5 miles away.
