This will be a full-day tour, arriving back in York at around 5.00pm. FROM AUGUST 2020:-

All our standard Private Guided Tours from York, Leeds or Harrogate, are available from August, providing the opportunity for your own private group (of up to 4, 8 or 16 people) to explore Yorkshire with a friendly and professional Guide, with pickup from any hotel or other location in York, Harrogate or Leeds.

North York Moors & Whitby - Spend three hours enjoying Whitby on this tour, as well as exploring the scenic and picturesque North York Moors National Park. You will have a full three hours of free time in the fishing port of Whitby on this trip, to see Whitby Abbey (inspiration for the Dracula books), visit the Captain Cook Attractions, shop for some Whitby Jet or Gothic Fashion, sample Fish & Chips from the famous Magpie Café or just enjoy the beach, bustling port and waterfront – the choice is yours! As well as photo stops on the moors, you will also stop at the famous Kilburn White Horse, the market town of Helmsley (with its quaint cafes, shops and medieval castle) and the beautiful, traditional English villages of Goathland (Heartbeat and Harry Potter filming location) and Lealholm (with its stepping stones across the River Esk).

Yorkshire Dales National Park - This tour provides the opportunity to explore the stunning landscape of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, visiting Bolton Castle, Askrigg (filming location for Darrowby in the James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small TV series), Kettlewell (main filming location for the Calendar Girls movie), The Oldest Sweetshop in the World at Pateley Bridge and the traditional Dales Market Town of Hawes, where you will have the opportunity to sample the cheeses at the award winning Wensleydale Creamery, the home of Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese.

Haworth & The Yorkshire Dales - This tour provides the opportunity to explore Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, including the West Yorkshire Pennine Village of Haworth (home to the Bronte Parsonage Museum), Bingley Five Rise Locks (the most spectacular feature of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal), Bolton Abbey (where you will see the stunning setting of the ruins of the 12th Century Augustinian Monastery) and the picture postcard traditional Yorkshire Dales village of Linton with its stone bridges and limestone falls.

Lump Sum Prices for our Private Tours (for group sizes of up to 4, 8 or 16 passengers) start from just £250 - see our website for details - www.bobholidays.com/tours/private-group-tours/
