Unlock York's Hidden History during the 2023 York Unlocked weekend!
Join us for a special programme of walks over the weekend of October 7th and 8th, as we offer some special tours to celebrate York Unlocked. "York's Hidden History Unlocked" will bring together York's Hidden History - our walks exploring the secrets of the city streets - and York Unlocked, opening up the city's historic buildings.
On each walk you will learn about York's Hidden History from our expert guides, whilst also getting the opportunity to visit a few York Unlocked buildings along the way. Please click on the links below for more details on our weekend walks, and to book your tickets:
Saturday October 7th, 10am-12pm
Start: outside York Explore Library. Finish: Duncombe Place Lodge.
Saturday October 7th, 2-4pm
Start: outside York Explore Library. Finish: Duncombe Place Lodge.
Sunday October 8th, 10am-12pm
Start: outside Keystones public house. Finish: St Anthony's Garden.
Sunday October 8th 2-4pm
Start: at North Eastern Railways War Memorial. Finish: Bar Convent.

York Bonfire Walk
Join us this Bonfire Night, Sunday November 5th, at 2pm or 4pm for a family-friendly, fire-powered tour of York. On the York Bonfire Walk we'll meet some incendiary York schoolboys, the flammable Martin brothers, and the French pilot who helped save the city from burning to the ground. Spaces are limited, so please book your tickets in advance via Tripadvisor.
