The first concert in the orchestra’s 42nd season features a programme of popular music. It will be a delight to welcome local lad Will Clark to perform the Vaughan Williams with us; although he has played with the orchestra as a youngster, this will be his first outing as soloist with us. We are also joined by our old friends, Leeds Festival Chorus in the Lambert and Fauré. The wonderfully rousing Festive Overture is a great way to start any concert – and finishing with a foot-tapping rendition of the superb Danzón No.2 will send everyone skipping home with a smile on their face!
