FREE WALKING TOUR

Take an alternative historic walking tour of York. Discover York's beer & pub heritage, and much more, by taking this unique guided walk through the city centre. York has a reputation for having a pub for everyday of the year. Find out about some of the oldest. Each walk covers the history of at least 12 pubs as well as the centuries of events, people (and spirits) associated with them. The guide is an experienced volunteer city guide. Walks start from Minstergate YO1 7LG at the junction of College Street and Goodramgate. Tours last for approx. 2 hours and have an optional refreshment stop, subject to suitable space being available.

Walks are free to join. Participants who enjoyed the tour & wish to donate to a local charity, (Keep Your Pet) supported by the guide, will be informed how they can do so.

Keith Martin will share his passion for York's oldest pubs in return for a donation to Keep Your Pet a charity which helps people keep their animals at difficult times"

All money raised from the walks will support Keep Your Pet, a charity run by Age Uk York with links to RSPCA York & District. This project has been established to help older people look after their pets at times of health or other difficulties.
