St Leonard's Hospice Wolds Walk

Join us for a memorable day exploring the heart of the wonderful Yorkshire Wolds.

You have the option of two glorious walks - 12 or 18 mile - winding their way through the county’s best kept secret.

Each walk takes in the uniqueness of several dry valleys with stunning open views, woodland and enclosed Dales. The routes aim to surprise, delight and challenge you, while exploring this area of outstanding national beauty.

Starting together in the picturesque East Yorkshire village of Warter, both routes have a climb before walking over rolling countryside and entering Lavender Dale. The longer trail splits away heading out towards Huggate while the shorter route touches Well Dale, both routes re-joining again to explore Millington Dale and along part of the Yorkshire Wolds Way.

Check in is from 8.00am at Warter Community Centre and both walks will start at 9.00am. Our team of volunteers will ensure you have memorable day with drinks, refreshments and encouragement along the way. You also have the option of booking a celebratory pie at the end!
