The beloved classic 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' comes to York Castle Museum as an exciting exhibition.

To mark the arrival of this inspiring exhibition, York Castle Museum have teamed up with Hoglets Theatre to offer a range of free family friendly activities including early years interactive storytelling and story writing workshops for older children. With further opportunities to have Breakfast with the Tiger, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy!

Tiger Breakfast Event
Every Saturday from 17 September - 5 November, 9:30-10:30am
Adult ticket: £9.95
Child (2yrs+) ticket: £7.95

With a delicious selection of food and drinks from Sketch Cafe, and storytelling activities brought to you by Hoglets Theatre, all served up in the Tiger Who Came to Tea exhibition, this themed breakfast is sure to delight the whole family.

There’ll be plenty of tea in the teapot and cakes on the table at this special afternoon tea here at York Castle Museum. The Tiger Who Came To Tea - Storytelling Workshop

Join Gemma from Hoglets Theatre on a storytelling adventure following the Tiger Who Came To Tea on further escapades after he leaves Sophie's house.

Using interactive storytelling, drama games, imaginative role play and songs, we'll follow the Tiger from the tea table, through the jungle across the oceans and even up into space!

Tiger Tales - Story Writing Workshops
24 - 27 October, various times, free entry, booking required

Join Gemma from Hoglets Theatre to create your own children's story.

We'll start the workshop in the Castle Museum's Toy Stories exhibition, looking at playthings of the past to give us inspiration, then we'll return to our very own creative writing lab to be guided step by step in how to create your own story to take home using either words or pictures.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
