Adult event
What do Jane Eyre and Tracey Beaker have in common – rebellion of course! From Dickens to David Walliams, children’s literature is full of characters who rebel against the circumstances in which they find themselves. This talk, aimed at any adult reader interested in this exhibition, will explore the journeys of some of the characters featured in the texts on display. We will look at what their rebellion is and how this features some marvellous and mischievous elements in their stories.
