Don Pears and Singphonia explore the vast scope of American Music from the 1900s right up to date, from Al Jolson to Beyoncé. Covering spirituals and jazz through rock’n’roll and Rat Pack standards to modern hits, and not forgetting musical theatre. So much to fit in!! Don Pears and his group of York singers will perform solos, duets, and group numbers that include the music of people like Irving Berlin, George Gerswhin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Judy Garland, Elvis, John Denver, and The Carpenters.
