Neshima: The Hebrew for Breath

A summer’s evening, an ancient medieval hall, an exceptional theorbo specialist – together we explore arrangements of madrigals, motets and chansons by Cipriano de Rore, Josquin des Prez and Thomas Tallis, alongside Orí’s own versions of popular variation subjects such as the tunes ‘La Monica’ and ‘Ballo del Granduca’, as well as original compositions using the same musical tools and language. The concert also includes The Orbo, commissioned by Irish composer Simon MacHale.
