Stars of the EEEmerging+ programme, this young Italian ensemble proudly present the music behind their highly acclaimed debut album. The music is of originality, unpredictability, extravagance and experimentation from early 17th-century Italy. The musical forms provide an overview of the musical landscape of the time, while the performances aim to reflect an age when performers were welcome to ‘sculpt the fabric’ by adding their own graces and ornaments of the written score.
