ENGLISH TOURING OPERA RETURN TO YORK THEATRE ROYAL...
English Touring Opera are bringing two stunning new productions encompassing love, comedy and epic tragedy to our Main House stage: Lucrezia Borgia (24 Mar) & Il Viaggio a Reims (25 Mar.)
In a provincial hotel, guests from all over Europe are stranded on their way to a great coronation. Intrigue, politics, romance and lost luggage all play their part in Rossini’s last Italian opera, Il viaggio a Reims.
Performed on period instruments in partnership with the much-praised Old Street Band.
