Are you ready to challenge your fears and discover what lies within The Grand Opera House? This is not for the faint-hearted, this is a real ghost hunting experience that will test your nerves...are you brave enough?

Join us for a night of ghost hunting and discover the dark secrets of this historic theatre, where many paranormal phenomena have been reported over the years. You will have the chance to investigate the eerie presence of a former stage manager from the Victorian era who still roams the Grand Circle, and a mysterious nun who haunts the Dress Circle. You could encounter the Victorian gentleman seen in the boxes and hear laughter and voices from the empty auditorium.

You will have the chance to witness the mysterious phenomena that have been reported over the years, such as the eerie presence of a former usher from the 1960s, who still watches over the dress circle and has communicated with us through our equipment on our previous investigation here. The cold spots, touches, and noises in the stalls and the boxes, where dark shapes lurk in the corners, and footsteps that we across the stage and the sounds of whistles and ropes in the wings… are these the remnants of the sailors who worked the curtains during the shows?

You will also learn about the fascinating history of this building, from the Roman Quayside to the Water Lanes slums, and how it became a theatre in 1902. This is a rare and thrilling opportunity to experience the paranormal phenomena that have been reported by our previous guests and staff. But be warned, this is not for the faint-hearted. You will investigate from 7pm-11pm, and the investigation includes all public areas. Please note, backstage access is subject to the visiting productions agreement, if granted nothing from the production must be touched or photographed.

What to expect on a PRY night - Our team will help you to explore your senses to investigate the paranormal using traditional and modern communication techniques and guest participation is encouraged! You will get to use the latest paranormal equipment and take part in experiments such as table tipping, planchettes, lone vigils and seances. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned investigator, this event will leave you wanting more.
