To mark the fortieth anniversary of gamelan in York, Gamelan Sekar Petak looks to the city's Viking past and the great Norse myth of Ragnarök: The Fate of the Gods. From portents and whispers of prophecy, through great battles and all-consuming fire, to the rebirth of the world, the legend will unfold in a blend of new compositions, film, puppetry and storytelling.
