Friday 13th October Ghost Hunt

If you have the courage, join us on Friday 13th, the most unlucky and spooky day of the year, as we enter the dreadfully haunted Fairfield Manor Hotel, York, a place full of ghostly activity

The Fairfield Manor has a long and spooky history. It was once a stud farm, a psychiatric hospital for children, a TB hospital and a Sanatorium. It was also a private home. Many guests who have visited it have felt paranormal activity. Some have been pushed by invisible forces. Some have been too scared to stay in certain rooms. Things have moved by themselves. Strange voices, shapes and mists have been recorded. Even the staff are afraid of some places and have witnessed unexplainable phenomena. This is one of our most terrifying venues - do you dare to learn more?

The Library is an original part of the building that has a lot of history. It used to be the Matron’s office and was also the room where the “gentlemen of the Manor” plotted and schemed when it was a private home and stud farm. This room, with its original features is very haunted by spirit energy. We have witnessed eerie mists, creepy voices and a previous guest saw his own proof after a solitary session where he recorded a planchette moving on the table. We have captured spirit conversations in here many times, with guests communicating with their loved ones. We have recorded EVP’s in this room, giving spooky and direct responses to questions.

We photographed a mysterious figure in The Oak Room that we have no rational explanation for. It was not any of the guests or staff. People have felt something touching them in this room and seen objects thrown across the room.

You might not dare to go to the Morgue by yourself. It is a place where eerie voices have been heard, responding to questions in a sinister way. Some guests have felt terrified here and have fled, vowing to never return.

This is an interactive event, and you will get to try the activities for yourselves - you will be involved in the investigation as much as you dare be!

PRY help you to explore your senses to investigate the paranormal using traditional and modern communication techniques and guest participation is encouraged! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned investigator, this event will leave you wanting more.
