We're delighted to be celebrating our seventh Dark Skies Festival. Every year it's a pleasure to showcase just how special our dark skies are.
As always we love to welcome back the annual favourites such as night zips at Go Ape, ghost walks in Robin Hood's Bay, stargazing at the National Park Centres, astrophotography workshops and night navigation experiences.
For 2022 we're pleased to welcome new, exciting additions that include a dark skies exhibition, mindful night walk in Whitby, dark skies run, art workshops and new moon gatherings.
As events go live they'll be available to book on our Festival programme. Keep an eye out!
There's loads to see and do during the day too! Take a look at dark skies friendly accommodation and book yourself a few days away.
In 2020, we were designated International Dark Sky Reserve status. That means we've been recognised as having spectacular dark, starry night skies. We continue to work really hard to make sure they're protected for future generations too. Now that's got to be something to celebrate!
