Christmas Traditions with the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir is back with a four night run in the spacious Citadel, Gillygate York. Started in 1962 as Carols In Kirkgate we have never missed a year although 2020, as an online international Zoom concert, was certainly different.
Christmas Traditions, a blend of carols old and new, Christmas songs, readings and sketches will be presented by the York Phil, with our Ladies' choir, which joins us every year.
Some cabaret style seating at tables is available on the ground floor, to better enjoy a mince pie and glass of wine during the interval, plus some theatre style rows, with tiered seating in the balcony. Please note the balcony, although offering an excellent view of the show, is not suitable for anyone with impaired mobility. There is no lift to the first floor and there are some deep steps on the tiering.
Wheel chair access to the ground floor is fine and the Citadel is only a short distance from Union Terrace car park.
We look forward to greeting again many familiar faces but also look forward to introducing ourselves to new concert goers. Christmas Traditions runs from Tuesday 30th November to Friday 3rd December so come along and join with us as we get the festive season started.
