Visit Nunnington Hall this Christmas for a festive journey back though time. See how Christmas celebrations and decorations have evolved over the centuries from indulgent feasting with the Georgians, the arrival of the Christmas tree with the Victorians, to the glitz and glamour of the roaring 1920s. Visit the gallery to see Art for Christmas - a showcase exhibition of work by local artists. Explore a trail of children’s toys from Christmas’ past, then stop by the café to enjoy a festive treat, and a hot drink. Festive evening takes place on 3 December, 6pm-8pm, an opportunity to see the hall on a magical evening. Hot drinks, and tasty food will be available, and a chance to spot Father Christmas himself walking the halls.
There'll also be a chance to see what local schoolchildren think Christmas in the year 3000 will be like!
The Hall is open (Friday-Sunday). Normal admission charges apply.
