Christmas Lino Printing workshop at York Castle Museum.
About this event
Be inspired by our Victorian Collection at York Castle Museum and create your very own printed Christmas wrapping paper and cards under the guidance of artist Megan, who will show you the basics of lino printing in this three-hour workshop.
Lino cut is a traditional relief printing technique. Carve your own design into lino and print using water-based printing inks. You will learn how to use the equipment, learn the process, be inspired by Victorian design and produce one linocut to print on sheets of wrapping paper or Christmas cards.
All the materials will be provided, and Megan will help you to get inspired by Victorian Christmas prints and designs. It’s a super fun way to create unique and beautiful Christmas cards or wrapping paper.
Suitable for all abilities and ages 15+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).
Tickets £10 per person.
Eventbrite booking fee applies
The workshop ticket does not include museum admission; if you wish to visit the museum before or after the workshop, you must purchase a museum admission ticket separately. - Tickets cancelled within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.
