About
WRITER AND FORMER MURDER DETETCTIVE COLIN SUTTON SPEAKS ABOUT HIS CAREER CHASING SERIAL KILLERS, MAKING TV SHOWS AND CRACKING COLD CASES.
As a Senior Investigating Officer in the Metropolitan Police’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command, Colin Sutton led 37 murder investigations, 35 of them being detected and successfully prosecuted. Most notable was the Levi Bellfield case but he also led the successful re-investigation of the 17-year reign of terror of the ‘Night Stalker’ rapist, Delroy Grant.
Since retirement he has conducted investigations for large companies, public bodies and private individuals, and has also worked extensively in the media, commenting on high-profile historic and contemporary crimes as well as strategic issues such as police reform and criminal law.
Colin wrote the book Manhunt about the Bellfield investigation, before collaborating with ITV to create the drama of the same name, where he was portrayed by Martin Clunes. He has recently completed writing Manhunt 2, dealing with the Night Stalker Delroy Grant, for both another book and a second Manhunt TV season.
In a rare stage appearance, DCI Sutton shares stories of his thirty-year career in the police force, delving into how he caught some of Britain’s most notorious offenders, as well as a Q&A session with the audience. This is one case fans of true crime won’t want to miss.
