Doug Webb is the new Head Chef at the Park Inn by Radisson York

Experienced chef to enhance food offering in city centre hotel

The Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre hotel announces the appointment of Doug Webb as its new Head Chef.

Yorkshire born Doug, brings over 10 years’ experience with him, developed in a mix of leading hotels and restaurants throughout the region, including time spent at Malmaison in Leeds, where he was honoured as “Employee of the Year”.

In his new role, Doug will be responsible for all food & drink elements within the hotel. From the hotel’s RBG Bar & Grill restaurant to the stunning RBG bar and the all-important catering for Meetings and Events within the hotel.

One of Doug’s first tasks in his new role is to oversee the launch of an exciting new Meetings and Events concept for the hotel: Smart Meetings. Smart Meeting & Events offers consistent Connection, Choice and Community to modern business get togethers and are designed to deliver the right type of smart food, drinks, event spaces and technology to support varying guests’ life and work styles.
The Smart Meetings & Events concept focuses on core elements including Connectivity; providing guests with Surf4Free Internet access throughout all hotels, on smartphone, PC or tablet. Anytime. The self-service features a selection of modern dishes reflecting locality, seasonality and healthy options that guests want. In 2013, over £600,000 was invested to transform the hotel’s lobby, bar and meeting space. With floor to ceiling windows and stunning river views, the bar is the ideal place to relax and unwind, have a coffee and catch-up, or after work cocktail.
