For over a century Watkinsons has been one of the largest and most renowned independent shoe retailers in the UK. Since 1904, Watkinsons has been synonymous with luxury shoes and excellent quality from across the globe. Watkinsons shoes is at the forefront of Yorkshire style. We design and stock shoes for men, ladies and children with city, country and coast in mind.

Now in its fourth generation, we are still a family-run business. Our identity is a Victorian-style arcaded shoe store, located at 53 Goodramgate, York. Together with our signature black and gold colours and our emblem, consisting of our founder Albert Watkinson's original signature. We are also known for our rocking horse, Dobbin, in our children's department.

We travel globally to ensure that we are providing the right shoes for all occasions and ages. We also offer our iconic Watkinsons Heritage Collection, handcrafted in Italy and inspired by locations in Yorkshire. We offer every type of shoe for every occasion including boots, slippers, wellingtons, walking boots, brogues, loafers, court shoes and children's shoes.
