The Yorkshire Arboretum

About Us
The Yorkshire Arboretum is open Mar 1st - Nov 30th.
On the Castle Howard Estate near York, a beautiful landscape of 120 acres of parkland, lakes and ponds is the backdrop for a collection of more than 6,000 trees from around the world. Lovely throughout the year, in spring and early summer it is ablaze with naturalised flowering bulbs and wildflower meadows, while in autumn the colours are spectacular. Wander off to explore peaceful hidden glades, let the children go wild in the woodland playground and enjoy the very best in seasonal, home-cooked food in the café.
Under 12's are admitted free of charge and group bookings are warmly welcomed.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, admissions must be booked through the arboretum's website: www.yorkshirearboretum.org
