Welcome to our family farm cottage. This delightful cottage is completely self contained, with its own entrance, parking and garden in the middle of a rural arable farm and windfarm. The cottage, although only two bedroom, is spacious. The groundfloor has three seperate rooms. Dining room,sitting room with an open fire and a well equipped kitchen. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a very comfortable kingsize bed and overlooks the farmyard. The second bedroom is a twin with two single beds and two windows. One window overlooks the orchard, chickens and the woods, the other window overlooks the farm yard. In between the rooms is the family bathroom with a generous bath and an overbath shower. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm and countryside. There are riverside walks as the cottage is next to the River Ouse which comes from nearby York. Farmer Phil is always happy to take you for a walk around the farm and windfarm. There are chickens in the orchard. If they are laying any children staying are welcome to come and help collect eggs. If this sounds too exhausting then relax with the BBQ. Despite our rural and very quiet location in the Vale of York, we are only a 40 minute drive to the centre of bustling York. Outside York the Yorkshire moors and Yorkshire Wolds are only a short drive away.

More locally the market town of Selby with its historic Abbey is worth a visit. It also has a new leisure center. Drax itself has an awe inspiring power station that is moving away from coal to renewables. Some amazing WALKS to be done including the Skylark centre.
