Poplar House Serviced Apartments large one-bedroom self-catering holiday and executive apartments are located on Scarcroft Road (...just off Blossom Street / Tadcaster Road-junction traffic lights), in the 'Mount' area... York’s iconic Georgian architectural conservation zone, and adjacent to the picturesque Scarcroft Bowling and Croquet Club green's, as well as the mature and leafy green-belt of the Scarcroft playing fields and kiddie's playground. Further, we are happy to assure you that flooding is not an issue at Poplar House!
Crucially, for inner-York visitors, Poplar House has its own private off-road, front-of-house (free) car-parking for guests. Perfectly situated for city visitor's our serviced apartments are also conveniently just an 8-10 minute stroll from York Railway Station (and the nearby internationally acclaimed National Railway Museum), and about the same distance to York Racecourse and its Grandstand on the Knavesmire. In the opposite direction, the apartment's are just a very short walk into York city-centre itself.
Poplar House Serviced Apartments are part of an independent family-owned residential building comprising 4 purpose-designed one-bedroomed apartments / flats with a large and mature communal garden area. The detached and tucked-away gem of a 1930's red-brick period-property operates a NON-SMOKING policy throughout. Each of the individual, self-contained, and private service apartments have been immaculately and tastefully furnished.
The private apartments / flats comprise a large and airy family-sized double-bedroom which can be variously configured for a Queen-sized double-bed and / or assorted (max. 4 No.) single-beds (by prior notification), a full-sized independent bathroom and shower, a large reception hall, a fully equipped all mod-cons white-goods kitchen (...complete with every utensil you would ever need!), as well as a large and comfortable integrated lounge and dining area. The apartments are furnished with solid furniture throughout.
The serviced apartments have its own (free) private, exclusive, and secure off-road on-site parking, and as such are perfectly situated for York's inner-city visitor attractions, York's Universities, as well as offering easy access to York's city business's.
This exclusive, spacious, fully-serviced, and immaculately maintained double-bedroomed 1st Floor Apartments / Flats offer a delightfully sunny, warm, roomy, and fully-equipped self-catering / holiday let / serviced-flat close-by York's iconic Georgian 'Mount' residential area.
York is a small city, and the city-centre and York Minster are just a very short 10 and 15-minute walk away respectfully from Poplar House. York's main historic inner-city medieval gateway (Micklegate Bar) is just a 3-5 minute stroll away with easy access directly onto the world-renowned, picturesque, and castellated City-walls.
The larger-than-average apartments are also suitable (and safe) for accompanying infants / toddlers. A travel cot is also provided free-of-charge (but please bring your own child's bedding). High-quality folding guest-beds are also available for both children and adults.
In combination with the split double/twin beds these folding beds can be used to offer extra single-adult stay options (...the maximum being 3 single adults per-booking per-flat).
