Shopping, Souvenirs & Gifts
National Trust Shop
About Us
Steeped in history with views of York Minster in the historic precinct is the large shop on Goodramgate. The building was donated to the National Trust by Frank Green in 1930 as part of his legacy along with nearby Treasurer’s House and other important buildings in York. Archive imagery shows a shop and information centre here dating back to 1969. That's over 55 years of visitors and residents in York supporting the charity when they choose to spend here.
Today drop in for a wide range of goods, some locally crafted and others created exclusively with inspiration from the many houses, gardens and landscapes the Trust now looks after. What’s more, profits from your purchases go back to supporting the conservation work of the National Trust and places like Beningbrough, Goddards and Nunnington Hall.
If you want to stay a bit longer, there are modern holiday apartments in the historic building above the shop. Book your stay at Ogleforth, Minstergate or Draper's Flat through the National Trust website.
Visiting, volunteering and spending supports the charitable work of the National Trust - thank you!
