National Railway Museum
About Us
Having opened in 1975 as the first National Museum outside of London, the National Railway Museum is now the largest of its kind in the world. Steeped in heritage & history, the former locomotive depot houses many famous & record-breaking locomotives, including Mallard & Bullet Train.
From the glory of the Flying Scotsman to the luxury of the Orient Express, trains have always transported, inspired and entertained us.
The National Railway Museum's dedicated conference centre offers two fully equipped rooms that are available joined together to host up to 100 delegates, along with adjoining breakout areas. Free parking and Wi-Fi for delegates come as standard, along with ergonomic furniture.
The awe-inspiring Great Hall - home to a stunning display of the finest locomotives, including Mallard - the world’s fastest steam train- is ideal for large receptions and dinners. The stunning platform setting of Station Hall, with its unique, luxurious collection of Royal Carriages, caters for award ceremonies and gala dinners up to 450 guests (coming September 2025)
