Brockfield Hall, near Warthill, is a Grade II* Regency house designed by Peter Atkinson, junior partner of John Carr of York. Begun in 1804, its outstanding feature is an oval entrance with a cantilevered stone staircase curving past an impressive Venetian window. A much-loved family home it has recently undergone an extensive restoration and renovation. Join a tour and learn about the history of this house, the history of the family that live there and the Staithes Group artists, a large collection of which hangs in the house.
It is open to the public Tuesday - Sunday this August (and the bank holiday), for tours at 1:30pm, 2:45pm and 4pm
Tickets are £10. Children and Historic House members are free.
