Barley Hall Coffee Shop

About Us
Continue your historic exploration of York with a relaxing hot drink in the new Barley Hall Coffee Shop. More than a café, immerse yourself in the history of this venue, once home to Thomas Gent’s printing shop and an 18th-Century coffee house. Perfect for refreshment indoors, or al fresco in the aptly-named Coffee Yard.
Where possible our produce is locally sourced from businesses such as bread, cakes and pastries from Haxby Bakehouse and Bluebird Bakery as well as our very own coffee blend from York Emporium. Make sure you pick up one of our loyalty cards too, so you can get your 10th drink for free.
Find us in Coffee Yard, off Stonegate - find the Red Devil to find the entrance to the hidden snickleway! Or from Grape Lane, the entrance is next to Phranakhon Thai Restaurant.
