“Better than we expected, Lovely large room 5**”

Sat nav took us to a different area from the guest house, and when finding the guest house we were expecting a small room. However when checking into the room we were more than happy. The room was larger than we could have ever thought and the room decor was to a high modern standard. We were the youngest couple staying at the guest house at the time both being early 20's and we didn't feel out of place.

Breakfast was very good and the in-house jam also, everything came so quickly. The staff were all very nice and friendly and the whole experience was simple with no stress.

We had a spa treatment booked and drove to the spa and was going to park in York and look around. The traffic in York to get to the car park was terrible and the prices to, we decided to go back to the guest house, park up (permits available from the house) and get a bus in. However we ended up walking in and it only took 10mins. There are little shops all the way down the road you walk down to get into centre York, so its not a long, boring, tiring walk into York. It was raining all the time we were there and it wasn't hard (apart from not buying anything).

Whilst at York we went to the OXO's restaurant which I would more than recommended. Taxi picked us up from the guest house and dropped us back, both from the front door. Ideal location, we both said we would go back to the guest house if we were to come back to York in the future.

    5* rating from us.

Only bad point was that we couldn't stay an extra night! :)
